The International Council on Clean Transportation

Sponsored by the China Ministry of Environmental Protection and the US Environmental Protection Agency, this October 2009 workshop brought together experts from China and abroad to discuss best practices in designing, implementing and enforcing heavy-duty truck and bus emission control programs. Workshop organizers also invited experts in after-treatment emission controls to review technologies that could be applicable to developing countries, taking into account common challenges such as poor fuel quality and lack of enforcement capacity.
